Wow, I love the concept. I can see some flaws in it, but I can understand why. Anyways, let's get on with the critique:

First of all, as I said I love the concept. Simple, but really effective. The whole '

owering up' and the focusing for the explosion is great. At first, I couldn't understand at all what the toilet speech bubble meant; a little confusing, maybe something a little clearer for the slight mental disabled like me? :B
The blue highlights in the explosion is great as well; I would have just gone mainstream and done a red explosion.

I also love the colours. They contrast, and make it really easy to look at over and over again.

The animation is fine. The bounciness, the fluidity of expressions, the speech bubble and concentrating is sweet!
However, the explosion could use a bit of work, which is understandble. They only look good if they're perfect. I have trouble with them. To me, the explosion looks too fast; the actual boom is a little hard to see, and the smoke just disappears strangely, just slightly too quick. I can see you used the same tutorial I used when I was making 'em. Still, the splosion is not great, hence the 3 star technique. But, with practice, your explosions should dominate in no time.

They're hard to do, personally.

There is another thing that bugs me though; is the perspective of the expressions. I'm not sure if it's intended, but it looks really strange. The : D grin is odd; I can't describe it, but the mouth should end, on both emotes, directly or under the eyes. It shouldn't go beyond, depending on which way he is facing. You'll need to look closer at other emotes if you're wondering what I rambling on about.
